Can you even imagine Blake Lively (Serena) or Leighton Meester (Blair) locking lips with Robert Pattinson in Breaking Dawn? Well, you don’t have to. But there is SOMEONE from the trendy CW show who was at one point considered for the role of Bella Swan.

Who is it? None other than Gossip Girl guest starlet Michelle Trachtenberg (Georgina)! On Wednesday, November 30, Michelle revealed to Us Weekly that she almost scored the (practically) iconic role over Kristen Stewart.

"There was definitely interest here and there because there's only so few pale girls in Hollywood," Michelle explained. She continued, “I've known [director] Catherine Hardwicke since the movie Thirteen. I was actually supposed to star in that, but I was on Buffy at the time."

At least she was able to scratch the vampire itch in some capacity. We loved her as Buffy’s little sis! And she agrees, "I already have Buffy. I've already done the vampire thing.”

Though she blames scheduling as the ultimate reason nothing ever came of her potential Twilight career, Michelle doesn’t have any regrets, either. "[Hypothetical answers mean] you're not living in the moment and you're looking negatively at what you're doing now."

Fair enough. We can’t help but wonder, though: If she had played Bella... would she be the one planning a wedding with R-Pats?
