When you’re as gorgeous as Blake Lively (Serena van der Woodsen), it’s undoubtable that you’ve been a muse to at least a couple (hundred) up-and-coming artists. Whether they pursue their craft simply so they can try and be cast in a movie with you (and sneak into your trailer to steal blonde hair out of your shower drain), or they just imagine your visage on the other end of a stage kiss, chances are you’ve been on their minds at one point or another.

But, for My Week with Marilyn star Eddie Redmayne, it’s not just Blake’s legs that have him running toward the spotlight. The actor co-starred with Mrs. Gossip Girl in Hick in 2011 and got a lot more out of the movie than just a great experience. In fact, according to Cinema Blend, it’s because of his stint with Blake Lively that Eddie got his career-changing part in the upcoming Les Miserables.

It seems that an after-party at Blake’s house in North Carolina during the filming of their movie turned into an impromptu Les Miz singalong. Theater geek Eddie took the opportunity to sing “Empty Chairs and Empty Tables” and record the video on his iPhone. But while we generally listen to what we’ve done the morning after and shudder (and erase), Eddie sent his rendition on to his agent.

Fast forward, and he’ll be starring as Marius when the film drops on Christmas day. So, the moral of the story is, if you want something, just get drunk with Blake Lively, film it, and then send it out into the world. Sounds like a dream come true in itself.
