File this under rumors we hope to see happen: According to reports, Sex and the City lord Michael Patrick King is thinking about rebooting his iconic series with Blake Lively (Serena) starring as Carrie Bradshaw. Call it Sex and the City: The Prequel.

The film would be based on Candace Bushnell’s novel The Carrie Diaries, which recounts Carrie’s pre-Big teen years. A second installment follows Carrie as she heads to Connecticut. Right now this is all rumor and innuendo, but doesn’t it sound perfect? So perfect it has to happen!
