Come on, man. Is it really worth it?
We caught an interesting glimpse of a potential buddy-up on Monday's ep of Gossip Girl ― and we're not talkin' about Dan (Penn Badgley) and Blair (Leighton Meester)! It was in those final moments of "The End of the Affair?" that we saw another side of our omnipotent narrator, Gossip Girl, and we’re not gonna lie... we kinda liked it! We're not saying we trust her completely, but without her helpful tip Nate (Chace Crawford) might never have made the connection between himself and his dangerous foe! (Dude's cute, but he's no genius, okay?!)
For now, executive producer Joshua Safran is playin’ it cool on the question of whether or not Gossip Girl will be making her in-person debut any time soon ― but as we all know so well by now, the Girl can help (or harm!) without ever stepping foot... well, anywhere! So it's TOTALLY conceivable that what we first spotted this week will continue as she aids Nate in his quest for the truth...
The question is, will he take the bait? Will Gossip Girl get a chance to play a wholly different role in the action on the UES? Will Nate trust someone that he's spent the better part of his formative years hating?! GG may have done him a solid, but she's also wreaked a lotta havoc on his friends' personal lives. Not to mention that she, you know, may as well be a ghost!
