While the rest of the teenaged world attends high school, Taylor Momsen goes to Gossip Girl. The young actress began appearing on the show when she was only 14, displaying a poise and range beyond her years. Not that she was without experience; Momsen’s breakout role came in 2000, in Ron Howard's How the Grinch Stole Christmas. She played Cindy Lou Who, opposite Jim Carrey. Momsen also appeared in Gus Van Sant's Paranoid Park, which won the 60th Anniversary Award at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. Additional film credits include Robert Rodriguez's Spy Kids 2 and We Were Soldiers starring Mel Gibson. Along with a flair for the dramatic, Momsen is musically inclined. She fronts a band called The Pretty Reckless, which will release a debut album through Interscope Records in fall of 2009. Whenever the group has a gig, people wonder, "How old is that kid?" If you had to deal with Blair, Chuck, and the rest of the gang, you'd grow up fast, too.
