If you look at Gossip Girl is a primetime soap, then Connor Paolo was well-trained for his role in it. The native New Yorker's early credits include roles on two daytime soaps—All My Children (he was nine at the time) and One Life to Live. Paulo has some serious film credits—he played the young Sean Penn in Clint Eastwood's Mystic River, and also had a role in Oliver Stone's World Trade Center. And—we're exhausted reporting all the accomplishments of his young life—he's got tons of stage credits, too, including one for the Broadway productions of The Full Monty. Though his character, Serena's troubled younger brother, Eric van der Woodsen, is still a high school student as the show enters Season 3, Paolo might have been the only actor to really live the GG life; he enrolled at NYU in the fall of 2008, but his busy schedule forced him to drop out. We're sure Blair, Dan, Vanessa and the other former Constance Billard–St. Jude's students enrolled at NYU will fill him in on what he's missing.
