The Evolution of Gossip Girl’s Blair Waldorf: A Character History of Feuds, Scandals, and Hook-Ups

Season 2: A LOT of Headbands, A lot of Chuck

In the beginning: Blair has met Lord Marcus Beaton while on her travels

Hook-ups: Marcus (well, sort of); Chuck; Nate; Carter Baizen

Feuds: Serena (over Yale), Vanessa (over Chuck, and such), Jenny (over being Queen and Gossip Girl mean), Cyrus Rose (over Eleanor)

Scandals: All things Yale: she tries to ruin S’s chances, she tries to save them, she tries to ruin Nellie’s chances, she, well, she has her own ruined. After being waitlisted, she tries to manipulate the teacher who gave her a B (A B? Is that irony?), and ends up making a huge mess of that person’s life

Biggest Moment: She realizes she loves Chuck and tells him. He doesn’t say it back. Downward spiral.

Relationship with Serena: Largely jealousy-filled, with intermittent bursts of friendship and Serena trying to save Blair from said downward spiral

Relationship with Chuck: Tumultuous, to say the least.

And in the end?: The gang graduates from high school. Gossip Girl comes clean (well, not so much). Chuck says “I love you, too.” They kiss.
