Still new to television, Matt Doyle is better known for his roles on Broadway. After studying classical theater at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, he moved to New York City and was cast in productions of The Butcherhouse Chronicles, Lunch, Spring Awakening, and Bye Bye Birdie. His Gossip Girl character (Jonathan Whitney) doesn't play a major part in the Upper East Side drama, but Jonathan and Eric sure make a cute couple.
