“Alexis and Gretchen were fired,” a source revealed to Us Weekly. “They just had run their course. Gretchen has been on the show a long time, and it was the same old story.”
Despite the fact that Gretchen’s run on Bravo series has come to an end, she seems happy to move on with other ventures in her life. On Monday, October 7, the reality star paid a visit to Los Angeles to film a project for her upcoming line of Gretchen Christine handbags.
As usual, Gretchen’s fiance Slade Smiley was by her side to show his support, wrapping his arms around her and planting a few kisses on her cheek.
In a recent interview with Diana Madison for AOL On, Gretchen makes it seem as if it was her decision to leave the show. “I think that I was really unfairly picked on. A lot of the things they were saying were made up stories and I had the proof to show it at the reunion. I definitely had a lot of reservations about coming back for another season after this last one. After awhile, people continuing to say things about your character and start to question your integrity — there’s just a time that you go, ‘You know what, I don’t need this anymore in my life.’”
As a matter of fact, rumors have been swirling that Gretchen already has a new reality gig, possibly on WE tv. “It’s a show about different celeb couples,” a source close to the star reportedly revealed.
Whether or not Gretchen will be returning to our TVs any time soon, it’s obvious she’s keeping herself busy and looking happier than ever.
