Grey’s Anatomy: Joshua Jackson Was Originally Cast in Which Grey’s Role?

Could you imagine Pacey Witter roaming the halls of Grey Sloan Memorial — and as a doctor no less? That idea nearly became reality several years ago, when Dawson's Creek alum Joshua Jackson was booked for a multi-episode arc on Grey's Anatomy. But in which part?

That's the question we asked Viggle LIVE! users during the March 27 episode of Grey's — and the vast majority of you answered incorrectly!

Joshua was cast for Grey's in 2007 and was actually scheduled to appear in Season 4, Episode 11 as the start of a recurring role in which he would woo Cristina. That's right: He was supposed to play Owen — or, at least, Owen's equivalent. Only 19 percent of you chose that answer!

The rest of the votes were almost evenly split between Jackson (41 percent) and Denny (40 percent).

Unfortunately for Josh, the 2007 Writers Guild of America strike commenced the very day he was supposed to start filming, and production on
Grey's ground to a halt. By the time it started up again, Josh had already committed to Fringe and couldn't film his Grey's stint.

Fortunately for Josh, Fringe ran for five seasons, and he's now filming a new Showtime show, so he is obviously doing just fine!
