Grey’s Anatomy Season 10: ABC Renews Drama For Milestone Year

Patients’ fates hang in the balance every week on Grey’s Anatomy, but the show itself can breathe a sigh of relief — it was renewed for Season 10!

The long-running medical drama passed a milestone year when ABC picked it up for another season today. It comes as no surprise considering the solid fan base behind the show and the consistently good ratings. Most critics have said the renewal was a sure thing, and as expected, it was!

If you’re worried about your favorite doctors disappearing, don’t — all of the original cast members are on contract through Season 10. However, we will note that this could signal this being the last season of Grey’s. Though medical drama ER lasted a whopping 15 seasons, that’s not normal. We bet that creator Shonda Rhimes could keep writing interesting twists, but with her other big show Scandal headed into its third season, she may want to focus more on that budding drama.

But hey, we won’t rule anything out! A lot of the cast members have voiced that they’d love the show to continue, so there is a chance it could go for Season 11, 12, 13, etc., even if it means bringing in new cast members. (Though hopefully not more boring interns.)

Are you excited for Season 10? Do you think it should be the last? Sound off below!
