Shonda Rhimes: ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 13 Finale “Is on Fire”
Don’t read on if you don’t want spoilery details about the Grey’s Anatomy Season 13 finale — you may get burned!
Then passersby posted Instagram photos of the cast and crew working alongside multiple fire trucks at West Los Angeles College, the filming location for the hospital’s exterior. (Look at that suspect orange glow coming from the building, too.)
At Scandal’s 100th episode party on April 8, Shonda and Debbie talked with Entertainment Weekly and hinted at the inferno to come.
“Debbie Allen and I like to say that the episode is on fire,” Shonda said. “That’s the only way we’re going to describe it. It’s a pretty exciting episode that’s very on fire.”
“I can only tease that it’s going to be hot for real; it’s on fire,” Debbie added.
“We had night shoots, and we were up all night for a couple of weeks, but boy, it was great. I was so excited every day.”
By all reports, the season finale will carry life-or-death stakes and could kill off one or more of the Grey Sloan surgeons (especially with a cast member on her way out).
“You should be worried,” Debbie said. “Be worried, because it’s that kind of night. It’s going to be that kind of a ride.”
The end of Season 13 will also give us a sense of the storyline to come next season, Debbie told EW.
“I think Season 14 is going to be spectacular,” she said. “We’re planting some seeds that you won’t see coming, but you will be waiting to see how it’s all going to play out.”
Grey’s Anatomy Season 13 airs on Thursdays at 8 p.m ET on ABC.
