‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 13 Video: Nathan Wants Mer to Tell the Truth
For a hospital with medical emergencies on the regular, Grey Sloan Memorial sure has deathly slow elevators. Have you ever noticed the surgeons having minutes-long conversations between floors?
As Mer and Nat wait for doors to open in this scene from the October 6 episode, he asks her how her half-sister Maggie is doing following his rejection.
“Don’t flatter yourself,” Mer quips. “She’ll live.”
He says he feels guilty over turning her down, and he tries to persuade Mer to tell her the reason he did — i.e., that she and Nathan have been boinking.
But Mer feels the guilt, too. “You think I like telling her she can’t have the good thing?” she says.
“‘The good thing’?” he says with a smirk. “You called me a good thing.”
Meredith tells him to focus on his patient’s hemothorax, and he retorts that she’s not the boss of him.
“Actually, I own a big chunk of this hospital, so technically I am,” she replies.
“Well then, after you,” he says, as the elevator doors open.
“Damn right,” she says, strutting in.
Damn right! Even without Callie on the staff anymore, this hospital is still a queendom, and rightly so.
Grey’s Anatomy Season 13, Episode 3 — “I Ain’t No Miracle Worker” — airs on Thursday, October 6, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
