In case you missed the news last month, one of the biggest stories about Grey's Anatomy Season 10 so far is that four of the five actors playing the Season 9 interns have been promoted to series regular. It's great news for the actors, but does it make the fans happy?

Camilla Luddington (Jo), Gaius Charles (Shane), Jerrika Hinton (Stephanie), and Tessa Ferrer (Lea) have all signed on to the new contracts. That leaves out Tina Majorino (Heather), but that's only because she's already committed to TNT’s Legends.

Given their promotions, we can probably expect to be seeing at least as much of these characters as before, if not more. That probably means more Jo/Alex, more Stephanie/Jackson (at least until he decides to dump her for April), more anxious, overeager Shane, and more ... Whatever Lea does. Hopefully she'll be given a stronger plot this season.

We think fresh blood is good for the show, but we're slightly wary of cast bloat. Obviously, change has always been part of Grey's Anatomy, so the addition of new characters is nothing new (and can, in fact, be quite fun), but adding four series regulars at once seems like a lot.

We want to know what you think: Are you excited about these promotions, or were you hoping to see the interns go?
