In the Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 finale, the most heartbreaking scene in recent history hit us like a brick wall, and we’re still reeling from Callie and Arizona’s emotional fallout. Though we should have seen it coming after Arizona cheated on her wife with visiting doctor Lauren, we weren’t expecting things to go that far, with an intense screaming match with pent-up feelings about the plane crash, Arizona’s amputation, and so much more.

Now that the initial fight is over, what’s next? Is Calzona headed for divorce, or can we expect them to kiss and make up come Season 10? While we unfortunately can’t seen inside Shonda Rhimes’s brain to find out what’s next for them, we have rounded up all the Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) spoilers to try to predict their future.

Calzona fans may be happy. When Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey) visited the Season 10 writers room, she tweeted “#CALZONAFANZ” in response to writer Dan Bucatinsky saying the episode they wrote is  “gonna be a good one.” Does that mean good news for Calzona? Fingers crossed.

Callie "isn’t a victim," and will speak out. According to Shonda, Callie has never been a victim and won’t be next season. Since she’s dealt with cheating before (with George), the “bigger issue” is what she’s going to do next with this information. It sounds like, to start, she's going to be acting out and dealing with her feelings, which she won't keep hidden.

Arizona won’t forgive Callie. Well, at least not for amputating her leg. Jessica Capshaw says that Arizona won’t forgive Callie for making and breaking a promise to not amputate her leg, and that ultimately, “something for Arizona is permanently damaged and lost.” This led to her infidelity, but that doesn’t mean they’re even — Jessica adds that Arizona’s cheating doesn’t level the playing field.

Lauren won’t be back to cause trouble. A recent spoiler revealed that Lauren will not be back to get in the middle of Callie and Arizona, which means we can breathe a little easier. Though that doesn’t guarantee that they will work things out, at least the third party won’t be lingering awkwardly.

Arizona “isn’t a bad person,” but can she be trusted? Jessica says that just because Arizona was unfaithful doesn’t mean she’s bad, and she hopes “it doesn’t turn into a year of self-flagellation” for her character. With that said, she’s unsure if they can “get that trust back” after the fallout of infidelity.

Will they get back together? Shonda Rhimes seems not to have made up her mind yet. But if not, she says that means we'll get to "see what happens when there's more than one major lesbian relationship on a big television show."
