Grey’s Anatomy Season 10 kicks off with their first table read next week, which means new episodes are just around the corner. We’ve been keeping up with the writers’ room to find out just how many episodes they have completed — last we heard, they were working on Episode 4, the 200th episode! — and now we have exciting news straight from creator Shonda Rhimes.
On July 11, she revealed that the first two eps of Grey’s are “on deck and ready to go,” and she couldn’t be more thrilled. She wrote:
The sooner the episodes are completed, the sooner they can start table reads, filming, post-production, and delivering them to our TVs. ABC has yet to announce a premiere date yet, but usually the show comes back in late September, so we have at least two months until the Grey Sloan Memorial docs are back in our lives.
Until then, we’ll be keeping an eye out for any stray spoilers. We have some Season 10 tidbits rounded up here, and we also recently found out that the premiere may be a two-parter! Basically, we’re as excited (or maybe more) than Shonda, and September can’t come soon enough.
