Gladiators, Scandal Season 3 is handled — or, at least we know when it will be. ABC announced today that the hit drama will premiere on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at its usual 10 p.m. timeslot, surprisingly a week after Grey’s Anatomy kicks off its milestone tenth season.

After the intense Season 2 finale — especially the shocking final question — we have a lot to look forward to this fall. Though there’s not a lot of intel about what’s to come, we do know that Scott Foley (Jake) was upped to series regular, so he’ll be back and better (and perhaps badder) than ever.

The first table read is on July 18, and judging by the fact that Grey’s has four episodes written, we’re sure it’s around the same for Scandal. At the ATX Television Festival in Austin at the beginning of June, stars Dan Bucatinsky (James) and Katie Lowes (Quinn) revealed to Wetpaint Entertainment that one or both of them will gain power in Season 3 — and hopefully not get killed off in the process!

If you don’t watch Scandal, we have a handy GIF post to explain the premise, but you’re going to want to catch up before the premiere on October 3. This is one show you have to watch live, lest you be seriously spoiled on all forms of social media!

Also, we’re hoping to see these five familiar faces from Grey’s pop up in Season 3. Do you agree? Sound off below!
