Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and in Grey’s Anatomy Season 10, Callie Torres will be the fuming woman in question. After her heartbreaking Season 9 finale fight with wife Arizona Robbins, nothing will ever be the same, and she’s going to share all of her feelings with the hospital this season.
“We’re going to see in the first few episodes Callie being reactive and acting out, dealing with her own feelings about what’s happening,” Sara Ramirez told TVLine, adding, “Callie doesn’t hide it from the hospital, how she’s feeling. No, she lets it be known!”
It is for good reason, though. After the “devastating” and “heartbreaking” fight, she still hasn’t recovered (which makes sense, given that the super storm is still happening in the two-hour premiere).
“Callie’s reeling from hearing that her wife is still very, very angry and hurt,” Sara dished. “So essentially they regress back to Step 1, to where they started in Season 9. It’s like, ‘Ugh, we’re back at the beginning,’ so there is a lot of work that needs to be done.”
Shonda Rhimes also noted that both of them have “stuff to deal with.” For Arizona, it’s more about dealing with the “underlying issues” she ignored — not just the grudge about Callie amputating her leg. As for how they’ll deal with it? Only time will tell, but we have a feeling it’s going to be a dramatic few episodes for Calzona.
