Grey's fans, we're about to get a blast from the past, or so says Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt).

In an interview with Huffington Post, Kevin says that the cast and crew are shooting the tenth season in two sets, each with 12 episodes, which will straddle the show's usual winter hiatus.

He also reveals that he's on board to direct the eighth episode, which will be his sixth turn behind the Grey's cameras.

When pressed for details about Episode 8, Kevin relents.

"They say there's a big build-up to a pretty amazing cliffhanger for the 12th episode before we take our hiatus," he teases. "A key character comes back in Episode 8 that plays into the cliffhanger in Episode 12."

His interview deduces that he's referring to someone from the show's past, which he confirms.

"Yep. Grey's past-slash-present. Comes back. That's all I'm saying … no ghosts though! [Laughs.]"

OK, that stipulation at least rules out Denny but still leaves us with a ton of other possibilities. Is creator Shonda Rhimes forgiving Isaiah Washington and bringing back Preston Burke? Is Katherine Heigl making good on her desire to return to the show? Has T.R. Knight's George O been alive the past four seasons?!
