Just seven months and change after buying Seattle-based java chain Tully's Coffee, Patrick Dempsey (Derek Shepherd) is walking away from the venture.

The Portland Business Journal reports that the Grey's Anatomy dreamboat is leaving the coffee biz after a financial dispute with his business partner, Michael Avenatti, over their company, Global Baristas.

Patrick bought Tully's in January for a (slight) $9.5 million, saving the company from bankruptcy and outbidding even Starbucks.

But now Patrick claims that Michael took out a $2 million dollar loan with Global Baristas' assets as collateral — without even telling Patrick.

Patrick filed suit against Michael on August 20, and apparently, he has since decided that the whole project is more trouble than it's worth.

The Journal reports that Patrick wishes the company well in its future endeavors.

Just don't walk away from your acting duties, mister!
