OK, Richard Gere will not be on Season 10 of Grey's Anatomy — but the urban myth that has dogged him for years will be echoed in a storyline during the upcoming season. Fair warning: It involves gerbils and booties.

We don't want to put you off your next meal, so we'll try not to be too graphic. Rumor has it that Richard Gere was hospitalized after inserting a gerbil you-know-where via a cardboard tube as a form of, ahem, sexual stimulation.

We try not to judge what floats people's boats, but seeing as innocent and non-consenting creatures are involved, we have to say that this behavior is not befitting of an Officer or a Gentleman!

Luckily for the 63-year-old Arbitrage star, the story has been debunked pretty much everywhere.

However, E! Online reports that "one of our unfortunate Grey's docs will have to deal with that situation in the upcoming season."

Now, we're assuming that when E! says that a doctor will "have to deal with that situation," they mean to say that the doc will be treating a patient and not him/herself! Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) is a sex hound, but he's never struck us as that kinky!
