Diahann Carroll may not be returning to Grey's Anatomy any time soon — as her character's son Preston Burke (Isaiah Washington) has fled Seattle and her erstwhile daughter-in-law Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) is leaving the hospital, as well.

But don't feel sorry for her: The 78-year-old's career is soaring!

Come April, Diahann will be treading the boards of the Great White Way as she and Denzel Washington star in a Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun, Deadline reports.

The play focuses on a family living in Chicago's South Side whose members have different opinions on how to use the inheritance money left behind by the late patriarch.

The play's 1959 debut on Broadway was groundbreaking for having a black playwright, director, cast — which included Sidney Poitier, Ruby Dee, and Louis Gossett Jr.

A film adaptation of the play, starring the Broadway cast, was released in 1961.

Then, in 2008, ABC produced a TV film adaptation starring Sean "Diddy" Combs and Private Practice star Audra McDonald,

In the new product, Diahann and Denzel will be joined by Good Wife standby Anika Noni Rose and Hotel Rwanda star Anika Noni Rose.

Break a leg, Diahann!
