The long awaited, two hour Season 10 premiere of Grey’s Anatomy is less than two weeks away, and there’s one big question on our minds: who will die?

After seeing the very ominous promo that was (finally!) released last week, we’re convinced that this will be one emotional rollercoaster of a season premiere that picks up right where the season 9 finale left off. And even worse, we’ve learned we’ll have to gear up to say goodbye to one of the Grey’s Anatomy bunch for good — because someone won’t survive the storm.

So who won’t make it out of the Season 10 premiere alive? Let’s take a look at our options:

Richard Webber. Our poor, beloved former Chief is the most likely option at this point, but after creator Shonda Rhimes accidentally spilled the beans that he could be part of the show’s 200th episode, we’re not so sure. Things didn’t look good for Richard at the end of the Season 9 finale, and considering how upset Derek and Callie look when Owen calls time of death in the promo, whoever dies is obviously someone important to them.

Heather Brooks (A.K.A. Mousey). In the promo, someone’s hitting their head pretty hard on a mechanical panel (check out the 18 second mark in the video) — and that someone looks a lot like intern Heather. Since Meredith is pretty fond of her, it would make sense that Derek would be upset that Owen called her time of death. We also have a feeling actress Tina Majorino’s time on the Grey’s set is limited, and this could be why.

Matthew. If you’ve forgotten all about April’s sweet paramedic fiance, Matthew, after all the Japril-y goodness that was the end of the season 9 finale, we don’t blame you — but we also don’t see him in the promo. Could be nothing, but it might mean he meets his end in the aftermath of the massive explosion that almost claimed Jackson.

A victim of the explosion. Let’s be real: this is Grey’s Anatomy. Anything can happen, and it usually does… and we wouldn’t be surprised if Shonda was getting us all riled up for a good, solid plot twist. We don’t think it’s likely that the person who dies will be a total stranger to us, but like we said — anything’s possible.
