Will April Kepner ever make up her mind?

Grey’s Anatomy kicked off Season 10 with an emotional two-hour premiere, and while we wept for Heather Brooks, one of the most gut-wrenching moments of the episode was watching April get her heartbroken.

At the start of the premiere, April waits for a stunned Jackson to respond to her confession. (You know, when she ran into his room and told him she loved him.) However, the moments is ruined by intern Stephanie, who bursts into his room to check on him.

Things only get worse when April and Jackson have to work together to find an ordained minister to marry a couple who were injured in the mudslide. April is hurt that Jackson seems to be ignoring her, but it appears Jackson did have a reason for giving April the silent treatment — he was angry.

As if this episode didn’t already have too many emotional confrontations, Jackson pretty much breaks April’s heart by putting her in her place. According to Jackson, April doesn’t want him — she just wants what she can’t have. So after he tells her to go back to Matthew, that’s exactly what she does. April brings Matthew to the hospital chapel and proposes to him.

She confesses her love for Matthew, even though it’s apparent he still has some doubts about her feelings for Jackson — and honestly, so do we. Sure, April might have panicked after Matthew proposed to her, but she wouldn’t have gone to Jackson if there weren’t still some lingering feelings there.

We want to see April happy, but we’re prefer to see her get her happy ending with Jackson.
