Have you received your invitation in the mail yet? There's going to be a wedding in Season 10 of Grey's Anatomy, but creator Shonda Rhimes isn't telling TV Guide the identities of the bride and groom — or bride and bride or groom and groom.
"I've been planning one, so I think we're going to see one, yes," the veteran showrunner teases. "I'm not going to say a word, but we've been making plans for that kind of thing."
All signs point to April (Sarah Drew), who accepted paramedic Matthew's (Justin Bruening) proposal in Season 9 — and then re-proposed to him in the Season 10 premiere after being momentarily distracted by Jackson (Jesse Williams).
But the fact that Shonda isn't saying that the nuptials are April's could be telling. Perhaps she's devising a good ol' bait and switch. Is Richard (James Pickens Jr.) marrying Catherine Avery (Debbie Allen)? Are Jo (Camilla Luddington) and Alex (Justin Chambers) taking their romance to the next level? Might Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) be on the mend and reaffirming their vows?
Sarah says that April is still using the word "fiancé" by Episode 7 (the Halloween-themed episode), so we know at least that the joyous ceremony — if it is indeed April's — won't happen before November.
