Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) has a new punching bag in his life — his recently-returned father, Jimmy Evans. Yes, our favorite Grey's Anatomy underdog walloped his dad yet again during last week's episode — Season 10, Episode 6: "Map of You" — after learning that the estranged son over whom Jimmy was expressing remorse (thinking that Alex was just a friendly stranger at a bar) was not, in fact, him, but yet another kid Jimmy abandoned.

It was only when Jimmy had facetime with Alex's fist that he seemed to recognize him as his progeny. But at that point, the bartender yelled at Alex to stop pummeling the guy, and that was the end of that storyline for that episode.

But rest assured: Jimmy Evans will be return to resolve or exacerbated Alex's daddy issues. "He will be back," teases spoiler hound Michael Ausiello of TVLine.

We're glad to have not seen the last of actor James Remar — and not just because we've liked the guy ever since Dexter premiered, in which James played a much more loving father.

But we're also glad he's hanging around if there's the possibility for closure, if not for Alex and his pops then at least for this hanging storyline.

What do you hope will transpire between Alex and Jimmy? Let us know below!
