We may only be heading into Episode 9, “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word,” but we are already looking forward to the next few episodes.
In true Grey’s Anatomy tradition, Episode 11 and Episode 12's titles reference songs of the same name. Episode 11’s title, “Man on the Moon,” could be alluding to plenty of songs with that title, but we’re gonna assume creator Shonda Rhimes is talking about the R.E.M. song and probably not the Kid Cudi rap now that we’ve read the lyrics of both.
Being that Episode 10, “Somebody That I Used to Know,” features Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) hosting Thanksgiving dinner at her house, potential problems for Bailey (Chandra Wilson), and the ever-growing wedge between Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Meredith becoming even bigger, we’ll venture to say that Episode 11 will involve wrapping up a few of these things — or causing even more problems — before Episode 12, the midseason finale.
That episode, by the way, is called “Get Up, Stand Up” — and while we don’t know much about what we can expect, we do know that it’s going to be packed with cliffhangers. Which is completely a given anytime Grey’s Anatomy and the word “finale” are used in the same sentence.
We’ve also got a feeling the finale might feature April’s (Sarah Drew) wedding — or lack thereof. Does anyone actually think this wedding is really going down, anyway? We see someone being left at the altar, whether it’s Matthew (Justin Bruening) realizing (for the umpteenth time) that April’s heart just isn’t in it, or April finally admitting to herself that marrying someone because the person she’s really in love with is dating someone else is a really bad idea.
It’s a pretty simple concept to us, actually. Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) isn’t in love with us, either, but you don’t see us rushing down the aisle with the first cute paramedic we meet in the ambulance bay. Please see the light before it’s too late, April!
What are your best guesses on what will happen in Episodes 11 and 12? Let us know what you’re thinking below!
