The producers of Grey's Anatomy cast the most perfect man to walk April Kepner (Sarah Drew) down the aisle in December 12's midseason finale — Season 10, Episode 12, "Get Up, Stand Up." As TV Guide reports, April's dad will be played by… Rev. Charles Drew, aka Sarah's real-life father!

And this isn't the first time the show has tipped its hat to Papa Drew. As Sarah revealed to Wetpaint Entertainment — and as April said aloud in Season 10, Episode 8 ("Two Against One") — the pastor who gave April and Matthew a pre-marital compatibility test was named Reverend Drew in honor of Sarah's dad, whom the writers actually phoned for insight into premarital counseling.

According to the IMDb filmography of that actor, Sean Abbott, he'll be back playing Reverend Drew in Episode 12, presumably to officiate April and Matthew's wedding.

So let's get this straight: The real Rev. Drew will walk his TV/actual daughter down the aisle, where she'll be received by the fictional Rev. Drew. We're getting all Inception-ed out here.

Real-life Rev. Drew is a senior pastor at a Presbyterian church in New York City, a father of two and grandfather of three, an author of four books, and an avid sailor. Now he can add "actor" to his resume!

Grey's Anatomy airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
