When Grey’s Anatomy returns from its hiatus February 27, we can imagine that Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) has a lot on his mind. Not only did he stand up in front of just about everyone he knows to proclaim his love for April (Sarah Drew) just as she was about to say “I do,” but he seems to have forgotten he was already dating somebody else. Uh oh.

So what’s in store for Jackson for the rest of Season 10? According to what Jesse told TV Guide recently, his charachter has got a lot of proving himself to do at the hospital — especially since he has found himself in charge of so many doctors who have a lot more experience than he does.

“He is really going to have to find a balance between his personal relationships and his bias and the fact that the Avery foundation runs everything.”

Jesse’s got a point — Jackson’s last name has, so far, been both a blessing and a curse for him. The other doctors were understandably shocked that he was put in charge of the board after the foundation made it possible for them to buy the hospital, but eventually he was able to convince them to take him seriously. We think there’s a lot more to Jackson than a pretty face — although it is a really, really pretty face — and that we are going to see all kinds of awesome things from him in the future.

And when it comes to April? At this point, Jesse says, there’s really no easy outcome for either of them.

“It’s incredibly tense and there are going to be a lot of regrets either way,” Jesse revealed.
