Grey's Anatomy shows no signs of stopping, nor does the revolving door of cast members. As we anxiously await news of whether or not four more longtime Grey's stars renew their contracts, we're learning of a new character who could take their place on the show!

E! Online reports that Season 10, Episode 18 will introduce Dr. Oliver Lebackes, a 40-something doctor who is "funny, caring, and maybe just a little too confident with his work" but a "sweetie" overall.

No word on who'll be cast in the part or whether or not the character will become a series regular, but the site says that Oliver will be around "for a little while at least."

We're thinking that Oliver will be a love interest for one of our usual fake-docs. Maybe he'll help Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton) move on after being humiliated by Jackson (Jesse Williams) at the wedding. Maybe he'll make Leah (Tessa Ferrer) forget all about her crush on Arizona (Jessica Capshaw). Maybe he'll tempt Bailey (Chandra Wilson) to leave her med-school washup hubby, Ben (Jason George). Or maybe he'll be around just long enough to sweep Cristina (Sandra Oh) off her feet. Heck, maybe he'll make one of the Grey Sloan dudes shift a bit on the Kinsey scale. The possibilities are endless!

Oliver isn't the only character we think might go full-time next season: The producers are adding another potentially-recurring role to the last batch of Season 10 episodes — this one a researcher played by Greek star Paul James. (Paul doesn't really look like a fortysomething, so we don't think he's playing Oliver.)

The excitement builds!
