The creators of Jenny’s Wedding, a film Katherine recently starred in, are asking for donations to cover post-production and film festival costs. The movie also stars Tom Wilkinson, Linda Emond, and Grace Gummer.
So what’s this movie all about? Here is the description, straight from the Indiegogo page:
“Jenny Farrell (Katherine Heigl) has led an openly gay life — except with her conventional family. When she finally decides to start a family and marry the woman they thought was just her roommate, the small, safe world the Farrells inhabited changes forever. They are left with a simple and difficult choice — either change with it or drown.”
Obviously, this movie comes with an important message, and the best part of helping the film’s producers raise the money they need? Your donation comes with awesome prizes, like a chance to attend advanced screenings with the cast, iconic props, and even personalized autographs from Katherine herself! Best of all, one lucky (and loaded) funder will receive the wedding dress Katherine wore in the film.
Katherine recently sent out a plea for help from her Twitter followers, too. “Jenny’s wedding is a movie I’m so proud to be a part of,” she tweeted Wednesday. “Love the story and the characters. Hope you will, too! The producers are just as passionate about @jennys_wedding as I am, but need your help to make it happen… so they’ve launched the Jenny’s Wedding Indiegogo campaign. Find out how you can help and the cool perks on offer.”
We hope the movie receives the funding it needs to be released — it looks awesome, and we’ve missed seeing Katherine on the big screen!
