Grey's Anatomy star Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt) is hopping genres — heading away from his medical mainstay and hitting up a legal drama! Entertainment Weekly reports that the 40-year-old actor will appear in a Season 4 episode of TNT drama Franklin & Bash.

Even better, he'll get to represent his native accent — since he's playing a Scotsman!

The site touts that Kevin will play Albert Daugherty, aka the Duke of Weddington, a "testy landowner" and "the kind of guy who would rather settle a dispute with a claymore than a discussion."

The show's titular lawyers — played by Breckin Meyer and Mark-Paul Gosselaar — will encounter the handsome duke as they deal with a conflict between him and his neighbor.

This is Kevin's first non-Grey's TV role since he first scrubbed in to the longtime ABC hit. Before he joined the show in Season 5, Kevin starred in HBO's Rome and NBC's Journeyman. Next winter, he'll lend his voice to a character in the ABC special Toy Story That Time Forgot.

The Franklin & Bash episode will air this summer, so this sounds like the perfect McKidd fix to help us bear the months-long hiatus between Grey's seasons!
