Clear the Grey-Sloan Memorial on-call room — Grey's Anatomy is on the verge of a new workplace hookup!

TVLine reports that actress Kelly McCreary has been cast in the show's yet-untitled Season 10, Episode 23 — the second-to-last episode of the season — which airs May 8.

According to the site, she'll play a surgeon who enjoys a "flirty bar date" with one of the show's male doctors.

Well, the only two single doctor dudes are Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Shane (Gaius Charles) — both of whom, coincidentally or not, have hooked up with Cristina (Sandra Oh) this season.

Perhaps the potential love connection between Kelly's character and Cristina's paramours will make the latter jealous. Maybe Cristina will take a stand, or "say it loud and go from there," as Mark Sloan (Eric Dane) once said.

Or this character casting could signal that one of the currently-taken gents will find himself single and ready to mingle.

In any case, you Shondaland fans will likely recognize Kelly as recently-deceased double agent Clare on Scandal. Her other TV credits include Castle, White Collar, and a starring role on The CW's Emily Owens M.D.

Who do you think she'll wine and dine? Speculate away in the comments below.

Grey's Anatomy airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
