Well, now we know why Cristina (Sandra Oh) is leaving Grey's Anatomy at the end of the season: she's accepted a dream job taking over for Burke at his magically wonderful hospital in Switzerland. That's great for her, but sad for us, because it means that Season 10, Episode 23 ("Everything I Try to Do, Nothing Seems to Turn Out Right") is the second to last episode that will feature Cristina as a series regular.
What can we expect as we head towards Cristina's goodbye? We've taken a closer look at the promo for the episode to see what it reveals:
1. "Something's coming." "Something's coming," Meredith says at the beginning of the promo. "I can feel it in my bones." Well, she's right: it's almost the season finale, which inevitably means even more drama than usual is coming Grey Sloan Memorial's way.
2. Why does Cristina look so shocked? Is the shot of Cristina at :04 just a random moment taken out of context, or is she really as shocked as she looks?
3. Someone plotting to keep Cristina. "Is Owen the one plotting to keep me here, or are you?" Cristina asks Mer at :08. Hmm. We wonder what prompts that accusation...
4. Does Owen propose? "I'm going to ask you something," Owen says at :11. "Owen, don't," Cristina replies at :12, and then we see him bend as if he’s going to his knee. Is this a proposal? The promo certainly tried to make it look that way, but we can't be sure until we actually see it. This might be a mislead.
