Cristina (Sandra Oh) is getting her Grey Sloan Memorial affairs in order in the episode of Grey's Anatomy airing Thursday, May 8 —Season 10, Episode 23: "Everything I Try to Do, Nothing Seems to Turn Out Right" — as she plans her exit to the mountainous climes of Switzerland.

And that involves Cristina finding someone to lead cardiothoracics, to Meredith's (Ellen Pompeo) astonishment.

"So, I still can't believe he's making you choose your replacement…?" she asks Cristina as the sneak peek below begins.

"I'm interviewing Dr. Russell's replacement, not mine," Cristina replies, between bites of Hot Pocket. "Which I volunteered to do, by the way."

"It's a punishment," Mer rebuts. "It's like, making you clean the apartment you're vacating.

"No, Owen knows that this is the right move for me. He's been nothing but supportive."

"Mm-mm," Mer says. "Something's coming. I can feel it in my bones."

The sight of the first candidate stops them in their tracks: The guy waiting in the conference room is probably a fine dude but he just looks like a scuzz.

"Ew," Mer blurts.

"I hate his face," observes Cristina.

Ha! It's exactly this kind of camaraderie we're gonna miss when Cristina decamps. But let's be real: Is Owen (Kevin McKidd) really as "supportive" as Cristina claims?

Do you think Owen will put up more of a fight? Speculate away below.
