Good news, Grey's Anatomy fans — unsurprising news, but good news nonetheless! ABC has renewed the long-running medical drama for Season 11.

That makes Grey's the 29th longest-running primetime scripted series in the history of American TV — and the 5th longest-running one currently still on the air. Nice work, Shondaland!

We have a pretty good idea of the cast for Season 11, too. Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey) and Patrick Dempsey (Derek Shepherd) signed on for two more seasons in January; and Chandra Wilson (Miranda Bailey), James Pickens Jr. (Richard Webber), Justin Chambers (Alex Karev), and Sara Ramirez (Callie Torres) re-upped for two more seasons this month.

We're sure that Jessica Capshaw (Arizona Robbins), Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt), Jesse Williams (Jackson Avery), Sarah Drew (April Kepner), Camilla Luddington (Jo Wilson), and Jerrika Hinton (Stephanie Edwards) are at no risk of losing their status as series regulars.

Unfortunately, we're losing Sandra Oh (Cristina Yang) — who announced her decision to leave the show in August — and Gaius Charles (Shane Ross) and Tessa Ferrer (Leah Murphy) — whose contracts weren't picked up for Season 11.

That would make the series regulars 12 in number — but we wouldn't be at all surprised if Caterina Scorsone (Amelia Shepherd) came on full-time.

Only four months until we enter the next decade of the show — and we couldn't be happier!
