It's hard to believe, but Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) is really gone. No more twisted sisters. No more cardiac god. It's safe to say Grey's Anatomy will never be quite the same, but at least we're happy to report that the Season 10 finale (Season 10, Episode 24, "Fear [of the Unknown]") gave this unforgettable character the send-off she deserved.

Although the show briefly teased us with the idea that Cristina could have been caught in the mall explosion that rocked Seattle, it quickly showed that wasn't so. The rest of the episode interwove Cristina's goodbyes into different scenes, and it was everything we could of asked for. She had lovely moments with most of the major characters, but, unsurprisingly, three goodbyes really stood out.

First, there was Alex. As they were operating on a patient together, Cristina admitted that as much as she teases him, Alex really has grown into an amazing surgeon in his own right. As if that wasn't nice enough, it turns out she also left him her shares in the hospital and place on the board; we're not sure how that's going to go over with the rest of the docs, but as a gesture of friendship it's spot on.

Then there was Owen. This goodbye was the simplest: they locked eyes as Cristina looked in on Owen working. Sandra Oh and Kevin McKidd killed this scene — they didn't need a single word to say it all.

And best for last: Meredith. Mer had to drag Cristina through the hospital and shove her into a cab, but in the end Cristina came back so that they could do their goodbye right: by dancing it out. If this moment didn't make you either sob your heart out or grin like a maniac, we don't know what to tell you. It was perfect.

With all her goodbyes said, Cristina finally made her way across the Atlantic — with Shane by her side, because he decided he wanted to continue to learn from her — to Zurich, where she ended her full-time run on the show by starting her new life.

We know she's going to be incredible, and we couldn't ask for anything more.
