Grey's Anatomy's Alex Karev always tells it like it is, and it sounds like his portrayer is no different! In an interview with Croatian news program Dnevnik at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, Justin Chambers spoke very plainly about the main draw of the long-running series: "It's about the sex."

"It's about relationships," he continued. "It's about love. But I think what really works on behalf of the show is you're dealing with life-and-death situations, as well. You've got disease, people coming into this hospital to get help, and that always makes for great drama."

Indeed, the show has always paid equal attention to the drama of the doctors' professional lives and that of their ever-evolving love lives, a balancing act that makes the show so endearing — and enduring.

And yes, it helps that these doctors are incredibly good-looking and often in various states of undress!

Justin is one of the five remaining original cast members entering their second decade on Grey's, all of whom have devoted close to a quarter of their lives to the show.

The 43-year-old revealed to Dnevnik that he couldn't imagine any other profession than acting, but if he weren't an actor, he'd travel the world with his wife, Keisha.

That sounds lovely, but considering we do watch the show for the sex, we're glad he's sticking around!

Did Justin hit the nail on the head or what? Tell us why you watch the show in the comments below.
