Congratulations, Shonda Rhimes! Grey’s Anatomy Creator Adopts a Baby Girl
Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes has confirmed that she adopted a baby girl named Emerson Pearl in February, reports Us Magazine.
Emerson is Shonda’s second child — in 2002, she adopted her daughter Harper. The proud creator of Grey’s, Private Practice, and new show Scandal sounds absolutely overjoyed, and describes Emerson’s nature as a “Zen baby.” She continues, “Emerson is incredibly mellow...We’re just doing a lot of bonding right now.”
“I’ve been writing adoption into story lines on my shows and only a few people close to me knew about my plans,” Shonda tells Us. “This is a happy time — I feel so lucky.”
