Forbes magazine published a list today (July 18) of the top 20 highest-paid actresses on television, and one of our all-time favorite stars made the list at #8: Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey), who reportedly makes $9 million per year.

According to Forbes, Ellen earned $275,000 per episode on Season 8, and she is most likely looking at a “considerable jump in salary for Seasons 9 and 10,” her commitment to which we reported on in May. Plus, the highly syndicated Grey’s brings in buckets of income in the form of residuals.

Adding to Ellen’s annual income is her production company Calamity Jane’s first big sale. As we learned last year, the relatively new company sold a spy drama with a female lead to ABC Studios.

All that success puts Ellen on the same earning level as New Girl’s Zooey Deschanel and former Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman. How much more do you think Ellen will earn once Season 9 starts filming this summer?

Check out the full list here.

Miss Grey’s? Us too. Luckily the show will return to Thursdays at 9 p.m. with all-new episodes in the fall on ABC.
