After last week’s stellar tear-jerker, Grey's Anatomy Season 9, Episode 11: "The End Is the Beginning Is the End” had a lot to live up to, and while it wasn’t our favorite episode of the season, it did dish out the drama.

The plane crash lawsuit comes to an end, but at whose expense? Derek (Patrick Dempsey)  starts to rehab his hand, while Jackson (Jesse Williams) begins to rehab his ego after coming to blows with  Arizona (Jessica Capshaw). Meanwhile, Richard (James Pickens Jr) is still coming to terms with Adele’s death, which means cutting ties with Catherine (Debbie Allen).

The verdict is in — and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Derek, Cristina (Sandra Oh),  Callie (Sara Ramirez)  and Arizona each walked away with a $15 million check. And everyone reacts to this news differently: Meredith and Cristina think about how many football teams they could buy with their “blood money,” Derek channels his feelings into an intense ping pong match with intern Shane, Arizona takes out her guilt on Jackson, and Callie organizes a survivors dinner. Oh, and Owen (Kevin McKidd)? Well, he’s happy for his ex-wife (and current-lover) Cristina, but he’s not so happy about Seattle Grace going bankrupt... which it will after the settlements are paid.

Meanwhile, Jackson and Arizona argue over the treatment plan for one of Mark's (Eric Dane) patients. Arizona wants to honor Mark’s legacy, but what she doesn’t realize is that Jackson — in his own way — was honoring Mark and his teaching skills. After all, were it not for Mark, Avery wouldn’t be the surgeon he is today. (On a side note, the budding relationship between Jackson and intern Stephanie is kind of annoying, right? At least he had the decency to tell April (Sarah Drew), who told him she wasn’t quite ready to be his friend yet.)

As for MerDer, Meredith is forced to out her pregnancy at Callie’s awkward survivors dinner. They’re all happy for her, but is dark-and-twisty Meredith Grey happy for herself? Or is she too sidetracked by the thought of taking the hospital’s blood money to enjoy her unhostile uterus?
