It’s been more than 12 hours since we learned of the hospital’s (huge) money dilemma in Grey's Anatomy Season 9, Episode 11: "The End Is the Beginning Is the End", and we have yet to stop thinking about it. Will Seattle Grace-Mercy West really close its doors? Will all the doctors be forced to look for work elsewhere? Or is there a way to save the hospital? But at what cost?

Yep. It’s safe to say that we’ve been freaking out since Thursday night. But we think we’ve come up with a solution. The bottom line is Seattle Grace-Mercy West can’t close its doors, and we don’t think it will (at least for not for very long). Here’s why!

Remember that elevator ride Cristina (Sandra Oh), Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) shared last night? The one where they talked about not knowing what to do with $15 million? Well, here’s what they do: They save the hospital by not accepting the money. Or if the hospital has to legally write the checks, then what’s to stop Derek, Meredith, Cristina and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) from making a few hefty donations to Seattle Grace-Mercy West?

And we’re not saying they have to give all of it back … just enough to save their jobs (not that they need them financially anymore). But say our plan doesn’t work — hey, we’re TV experts, not bankers — then the docs could always open their own hospital.

Hey, remember when Izzie (Katherine Heigl) had that huge check from Denny (Jeffrey Dean Morgan)? She opened the clinic -- and that was only with $8.7 million. See, it’s not too hard to imagine, right? Right?!
