Despite a general lack of shirtlessness this season on Grey's Anatomy, series creator Shonda Rhimes and Co. have gotten off to a solid start, building on last season, which was widely regarded as the Grey's "renaissance." This week's episode (Season 8, Episode 8: “Heart-Shaped Box”) was the number 1 drama on TV for the seventh straight week, plus, scored the coveted number 1 spot among women.

And, uh, not to jinx things here, but we feel like major props are in order for being able to deliver steady ratings all season without taking a hiatus yet. Sadly, winter is coming, but, in the meantime, we'll salivate over next week's tension-filled promo some more.

So, as Dr. Hunt (Kevin McKidd)keeps the Seattle Grace Mercy West docs in check as the new Chief of Surgery, while Dr. Webber (James Pickens, Jr.) slips into his Yoda-like calling, it looks like the stage is set for some vintage crazy medical dramz.

Stay tuned! (As if there was any doubt.)
