This season, Grey’s Anatomy introduced us to a whole new group of interns, and one of our favorites was Dr. Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington), who started out a little terrified of Meredith and ended up being a pretty strong addition to the cast.

It’s time to find out how well Jo has done so far in her first year as a surgical intern! We will be grading her on her intelligence, or surgical skills, her interaction with the other doctors, and how interested she keeps us in finding out what will happen to her next.

Let’s see how she did!

Intelligence: A. Jo is a hard worker — a foster child for most of her life, she’s only ever had herself to rely on. She was even awarded the first solo surgery out of all the interns. In her time working with Alex in peds, she communicates with the children well, which is a huge plus.

Interaction: B. Alex obviously has a thing for Jo, and we thought she returned the feelings... until she started dating random OB resident Jason. What?! Alex might seem tough on the outside, but he’s a sweetheart on the inside, and we hate that he always seems to be so unlucky in love. Maybe these two can work it out?

Interest: A. It’s hard to bring a new person into a long-ago established cast, but Jo held her own and made us care what happens to her. We hope she sticks around.

Final grade: A-
