As we recently reported, Entourage star Jordan Belfi will be guest-starring on two May sweeps episodes of Grey's Anatomy. Now, Shonda Rhimes gives us an idea of what his character will mean to the rest of the Grey’s characters. So what can we expect?

What we already knew was that Jordan’s character would be named Ryan, and one doctor would be assigned to take care of him. Now, Shonda tells TVLine that “He’s a patient who needs surgery … And he is an old friend of one of our characters.”

This being Grey’s, our immediate thought is that it must be an old flame. But whose? We’ve already dug around Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Cristina (Sandra Oh) romantic past (remember the vet?), Calzona already has their own romantic story line, and Teddy (Kim Raver) is a little busy yelling at widows and, more seriously, grieving, to take on a new love interest.

What if it’s Lexie (Chyler Leigh)? An ex appearing at Seattle Grace-Mercy West would make interesting timing, considering the fact that we have a Slexie situation happening in the next few episodes. That’s what we’re hoping for, at least!

Grey’s Anatomy returns with an all-new episode on Thursday, April 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
