Grey's Anatomy Season 9, Episode 17: "Transplant Wasteland"' (airing tonight, March 19) gives us our first look at Seattle Grace-Mercy West under new management. So, how are things going? As we impatiently wait for the episode to air, we've filled our time by constantly replaying the sneak peeks. Here's what we've learned about the episode.
The deal is sealed. In this sneak peek, Jackson (Jesse Williams) prepares to sign the purchase agreement for Seattle Grace-Mercy West.
Jackson on edge. In the same sneak peek, we get the sense that Jackson still has very mixed feelings, especially towards his mom, about everything that's happened.
Jackson on the board. The Jackson drama continues when he's forced to give the Seattle Grace-Mercy West board some bad news: The foundation is not ready ti re-open the ER just yet.
Getting rid of Owen. Another bright idea Jackson is forced to share in the sneak peek above? The foundation wants to replace Owen (Kevin McKidd) as chief.
Owen hears it through the grapevine. In a sneak peek you can see here, it becomes clear that Owen hears the bad news through the grapevine, which does not exactly help smooth things over.
Owen quits. In fact, he's so pissed off he quits his post in the same sneak peek.
Simmering tensions. In that sneak peek we also see that there's still some tension between Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and Kevin McKidd over the plane crash/lawsuit situation.
Chaos! In the sneak peek below, we learn that all the drama has an effect on the hospital's ability to get things done.
A cute kid. The same sneak peek tells us that one of the medical stories this week will be about a cute kid who needs a kidney transplant.
Not enough rooms. The main problem seems to be a lack of rooms to do surgeries in, as we see here.
Jackson steps up. Whatever his mixed feelings, Jackson doesn't have a problem taking charge in the sneak peek linked above. But how will the other docs feel about that?
