Grey's Anatomy kicks off its two-part finale with Season 9, Episode 23: "Readiness Is All" on May 9, and based on this new Canadian promo, no one will come out unscathed.

While we already saw Alex talking to Jo about her boyfriend, Jason, hitting her, during the American promo, this one dives a bit deeper.

“He hit you?” Alex questions, to which Jo sobs back, “It’s gotten so bad!” as she holds an eye pack to her eye. It looks like Alex is taking care of her... until he has to take care of someone else at the hospital. We can’t be certain, but it looked like a tree was crashing into Grey Sloan Memorial in the first promo, on track to hit Jackson and April, and a bandaged patient who Derek is looking at looks a lot like Jackson. Plus, Alex exclaims, “You gotta help him!”

The superstorm that's coming to Seattle in this episode is going to be bad — Chief Owen warns, “Massive storm's coming: hurricane, forced wins, and heavy rain” — and it looks like there are a few storms within the hospital, too. We also see Cristina yelling at intern Heather, who appears to be operating solo, and Bailey’s husband, Ben, tells Richard that “she thinks she’ll kill anyone she touches.” Things are not looking good for our doctors — especially Meredith, who we’ve now seen fall down the stairs twice. Will the McBaby be OK? Read on for the official synopsis for more intel, and then watch the promo below to learn more.

“The doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital prepare for a super storm heading towards Seattle; Owen’s desire to be a parent gets stronger as he becomes closer to Ethan; and one wrong move puts the lives of Meredith and her baby in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Jo looks to Alex for help in a moment of crisis, and one doctor gets the shock of her life.”

Catch the episode on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
