We quite enjoyed it! It felt very classic Grey's, with a fun mix of humor, medicine, and intense drama (of course).
Cristina was given free rein by the new head of cardio, which is excellent for her, and we liked seeing her interactions with the interns. She's tough, but fair, which seems exactly right. On the other hand, at first Owen (Kevin McKidd) treated her like nothing but an employee — until the new head of cardio let it drop that Owen was the one who pushed to get her back at the hospital. Of course! That explains why Owen was so upset when he thought Cristina had done something that would get her fired. He still loves her.
Meanwhile Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and Callie (Sara Ramirez) had an intense, well acted plotline where they dealt with their feelings about Callie's failed operation on his hand. In the end, Callie, inspired by Bailey (Chandra Wilson) tricking Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) into coming into the hospital (improvement!), decided that she and Derek can't give up on his hand yet.
Alex (Justin Chambers) and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) also had a nice little plot where he finally bought her house, and Jackson (Jesse Williams) finally confessed that he has real feelings for April (Sarah Drew).
But the big OMG moment came at the end of the episode, when the lawyers from the lawsuit told the docs that their plan is to go after Seattle Grace-Mercy West for the money. Whoa.
We give it 4 stars. What did you think?
