The Grey's Anatomy writers were busy planning the Season 9 finale last week, and showrunner Shonda Rhimes tweeted some very vague but revealing statements about what tricks she has up her sleeve this year.
According to Shonda, “intense discussions” with the Grey’s writers about the season finale led to some “bold, shocking decisions” that render anything she'd said about the finale prior to last week totally moot. That means there now could be a big disaster. She also noted that she "warned" fans about the finale "so you could brace yourself."
Once Shonda Rhimes starts throwing around phrases like "bold, shocking decisions" and "brace yourself," we get worried. Really worried. Even if Shonda doesn't do something on the scale of the plane crash or the shooting, she's definitely hoping the finale will keep people talking all summer, so clearly, something is going to go down.
What we want to know is: How does this make you feel? Are you excited to see what bold new plot Shonda is going to throw our way, or are you just scared about what all of this might mean for your favorite characters?
