On the heels of Camilla Luddington (intern Jo Wilson) saying that it gave her “butterflies,” star Sarah Drew (April Kepner) revealed that fans will be surprised. “Holy crap! The Season 9 finale is gonna blow your mind!!!” she tweeted excitedly yesterday.

Considering that we’re in for a two-part finale filled with a potential explosion, a firing, and overall events that may or may not be “bold and shocking,” we’re kind of scared. Creator Shonda Rhimes said that she wants the finale to keep people talking all summer, which in her world usually isn’t about good things — it’s typically about tragic deaths. (R.I.P., Mark and Lexie!)

However, she could surprise us by not killing off anyone, and honestly, our minds would be blown either way. Jessica Capshaw (Arizona Robbins) called it “thrilling” and talked about how the writing on the show keeps getting “more and more exciting,” so maybe we shouldn’t expect the worse. Well, that’s what we keep telling ourselves, at least.
